Moore Flavor Express is a Black woman-owned food-service business based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, specializing in flavorful home-style meals, BBQ, catering, and community food events.
My goal is to expand Moore Flavor Express through a mobile BBQ concession pilot that can serve families, local residents, and visitors at approved Grand River Greenway events and community gathering locations.
Our signature food offerings include BBQ chicken, turkey knuckles, baked beans, potato salad, and other comforting, home-style favorites.
I have already taken steps toward building the business by obtaining my DBA and EIN, developing my menu, acquiring food-service equipment, and establishing an online presence.
With additional funding, I want to move beyond limited food-service opportunities and build a more consistent, professional mobile operation.
Rather than immediately investing in a full food truck, I plan to test a smaller, properly equipped concession setup, measure customer demand, and develop relationships with event organizers.
