Jackson 1.0 is an autonomous mobile food-service platform being developed by J’S BBQ. Unlike traditional food delivery, Jackson is designed to bring part of the food-service operation directly to the customer. The concept combines electric mobility, temperature-controlled hot and cold storage, automated food finishing, real-time food-safety monitoring and secure customer dispensing.
J’S BBQ will serve as the first real-world proving ground, but the long-term opportunity reaches beyond barbecue. The platform could eventually be adapted for restaurants, campuses, events, factories and other food-service operations.
Jackson is currently an early-stage concept. The next critical step is professional engineering feasibility and validation. The $5,000 5×5 Night award would fund that work and turn the concept into engineering requirements needed to pursue prototype development and larger funding.
