Less than 1% of gemstones faceted worldwide are reportedly cut in the United States, leaving jewelers and consumers with limited access to locally produced, highly customized gemstones. As traditional lapidary skills become increasingly difficult to access, there is an opportunity to bring this specialized craft back to the local market.
My goal is to bridge the gap between this highly specialized craft and customers who want something truly personal. Someone may spend a lifetime collecting stones from family vacations, mining trips, or meaningful places, yet never have a way to transform those stones into something they can actually use or preserve.
I want to change that. My business will allow customers to have their own stones professionally cut and transformed into unique gemstones—without sending sentimental pieces across the world. At the same time, I will provide custom faceting and contract services to jewelers who need stones tailored to their designs. Ultimately, I want to turn raw materials and meaningful memories into heirlooms that can be passed down for generations.
